Andy, thanks for looking into this and your comment about reading through is something had not thought of. Your suggestion of a button is probably the way to go. First, I guess we need to be sure the forum is of value to members before spending too much time on it.

Turns out to be quite easy after all - just a simple code change. Having done it, I'm not sure about it though... if you're new to the topic, it makes for easier reading (and everything makes more sense) if posts are in the order they arrived. Although I agree if you're looking for the latest on a thread then it is better to have the newest posts first.
I guess the best answer would be a button to switch the order, but that is more work.
I'll leave it as it is for now with new posts at the top but might change it back again - if anyone has strong opinions either way, say so!

I'll have a look into that - I'm sure it can be done, but doesn't look like a simple setting change with the forum software we're using unfortunately. So it might be a while 'til I get round to it!

Andy - is it possible to reverse the date order of discussions? At the moment, oldest appears first. It would be better to have most recent appear at the top of the thread, in my opinion....

OK, Thanks, Andy
We can ask Martin Baxter to increase the SGA allocation if we want to have files on the forum - it won't be expensive.I was thinking of having the SGA responses to the Habitat Restoration here but I guess we could put them up on the general web pages.

Hi David - I don't think you can I'm afraid - it's really just a simple text forum, and it would soon clog up the webspace if files could be attached!
I can easily put files up online if you like though - or if you have webspace yourself you can always put something online yourself and post the link on the forum!
